We made cream scrub for wet areas and toilet bombs at the workshop I attended. They've been tried and tested. I must say that I'm very happy with the results. The cream scrub got rid of the water marks and stains in the sink area, leaving the stainless steel almost brand new looking again. This is without the harmful chemicals in commercial products. The toilet bombs left the toilet fresh smelling, though it does leave a small remnant clump at the bottom which disappears after several flushes.
Ingredients:
1 cup baking soda
1/4 cup castile soap
3 tbsp hydrogen peroxide
3 tbsp salt
10 drops of Tea Tree and/or Lemon
Method:
Mix ingredients in a mixing bowl and transfer to a jar for storage.
Toilet Bombs
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
10 drops of essential oils (Idea suggestions: Lemon and Tea Tree or On Guard or Eucalyptus or Wild Orange and Tea Tree)
A spray bottle with filtered water
Method:
1. Combine baking soda and citric acid in a mixing bowl.
2. Using gloved hands, mix them together.
3. Add oils of choice and combine.
4. Add a few sprays of filtered water till it stays in a clump when squeezed together. It should feel like slightly damp sand.
5. Put mixture in moulds of silicone ice cube trays or lined muffin tins.
6. Leave to dry overnight. You should be able to remove them from the mould easily without breaking them.
7. Drop 1 bomb into the toilet bowl and fizz away.
